Dr. Chris Robey
Christopher Robey is a Chiropractic Physician Preceptor and native of Bridgeport, West Virginia. He studied Health Science and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairmont State University in 2012. He has continued his studies in Florida where is currently earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic with the expected graduation date of June 2016.
He is one of the newest additions to the team at Las Vegas Pain Relief Center. Christopher’s special interests include Active Release Technique (ART), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Cranial Facial Release (CFR), Stress Relief Method (SRM), and Sole Supports Orthotic Casting and Foot Biomechanics. He is skilled in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Techniques (IASTT), pain management, nutrition and weight loss programs, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, spinal decompression, and is certified in Functional Movement Screening (FMS) and Performance Movement Taping (PMT).
Christopher has treated hundreds of community patients which encompasses infants as young as 5 weeks old, adolescent and adult athletes, mixed martial artists, first responders, and senior citizens. My philosophy regarding the service and quality of care that patients receive is established through a strong doctor-patient relationship. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with an empathetic bed side manor are the keystones to my approach with patient care. With the aim to improve the overall quality of life, one must encompass the three T’s: Thoughts, Traumas, and Toxins. I believe that the source of pain can successfully be addressed but must be accomplished through compassion, understanding, and actively listening to the patient.
Through doing so, the practitioner will be able to create a bond that all patients seek, provide effective and efficient care, and thus motivating the patient to achieve optimal health. My interest in health and human performance dates back to a young age. I know from my own personal experiences what it is like to be blindsided by injury at the height of one’s athletic career and how difficult it can be to survive the road to recovery. During an active-filled youth, I had the pleasure, although most times unfortunate due to pain, of coming into contact with many inspiring health professionals who helped me overcome both physical and mental obstacles. Their desire to work in a field dedicated to helping and healing others has made me understand and discover my passion – an opportunity to be an influential and impactful person in the lives of others. Such experiences have sculpted and will continue to mold, the respect and sympathy that I have for clients.
It has also intrigued me to be more inquisitive and enthusiastic. I enjoy being a motivator and seeing patients progress with their goals. By becoming a doctor of chiropractic I am entrusted to further educate society not only in the clinical setting but as well as fundraising and taking part in other organized community events. Recent clinical experience has stressed self-reliance, perseverance, and helped me learn independent of the lecture hall. As a health care provider I will settle for nothing less than perfection or succumb to complacency. I must maintain my purpose and continue to strive and better the lives of the community. Recent time spent within the office of the Las Vegas Pain Relief Center has solidified this passion and helped me understand that I have the innate drive to aid others through their road to recovery. ”Christopher has recently moved to Henderson where is enjoying becoming accustomed to the Las Vegas area and all it has to offer, the outdoors, and sporting events. He enjoys living an active and healthy lifestyle.
